The Mt. Healthy Building & Zoning Department is here to protect your health, safety and welfare by enforcing the building and zoning codes that have been adopted as law by your local government.
Through building plan review and site inspections of your projects we make every effort to protect you from inferior and sometimes hazardous construction practices.
Projects that require building permits are as follows: new buildings; additions; sheds; renovations; some repair work; re-roofing; heating and/or air conditioning; fences; pools; decks; fireplaces; and new or replacement signs and more. Please contact our department before you start your project to determine if a building permit is needed.
Permits for re-roofing, heating and/or air conditioning can be handled Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the City Building (7700 Perry Street).

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
The function of the Property Maintenance Department is to enforce the guidelines put forth in the City Ordinances concerning property maintenance. The department exists to help keep Mt.
