HOUSEHOLD WASTE AND RECYCLING BILLING
The City of Mt. Healthy contracts with Rumpke for household waste and recycling pickup and is billed to the property owner regardless of occupancy on a quarterly basis. The rate is $48.10 per unit per quarter. The billing is included with your Greater Cincinnati Water Works statement.
HERE ARE SOME BASIC GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW
Weekly household trash may consist of an unlimited number of regular size trash cans and/or plastic bags with a maximum capacity of 30 gallons each and shall not exceed 75 pounds of weight per container. Always use tight fitting lids, to avoid blowing trash and animal messes.
All wooden and cardboard paper boxes must be broken down and tied into small bundles.
Yard waste may be set out with household waste. Branches and shrub must be tied up in bundles no more than 4 feet in length and 2 feet in diameter and weighing no more than 75 pounds. Carpet and padding must also be cut up and rolled in lengths no longer than 4 feet, tied up and weighing no more than 75 pounds.
Put trash out the night before pickup. Mt. Healthy City Ordinance 50.02 (C) states that trash containers may be set out no earlier than 3:00 PM the day before pickup and containers cannot remain on sidewalks for more than 24 hours after pickup.
HOUSEHOLD WASTE ONLY. NO HAZARDOUS WASTE, NO TIRES, and NO BUILDING SCRAP (DRYWALL, PLYWOOD, 2X4 WOOD, ETC..) call Rumpke at 742-2900 for info.
If you have large items (stoves, washers, furniture etc…) call Rumpke at 742-2900 two days in advance. (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and de-humidifiers must have CFCs removed prior to disposal with proper certificate attached). Contact Rumpke for proper instructions.
IF YOUR WEEKLY HOUSEHOLD WASTE OR RECYCLE PICK-UP WAS MISSED, PLEASE CALL 513-931-8840 EXT. 131 TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.
